Invention Background

Daniel Kaesmacher and Falk Wolsky Jointly invented the pen and named it LernstiftMunich.

The 10 year old son of Falk Wolsky was struggling with his homework spellings and handwriting. This motivated the two co-workers to find a solution to this.

Technology

  • The Pen is powered with linux based operating system.
  • Special motion sensor and
  • A small battery-powered Wi-Fi chip.

Modes Of use

  1. Calligraphy Mode : For pointing improper characters of text (i.e for pointing improper handwriting).
  2. Orthography Mode — For pointing spelling mistakes by comparing words to a language database.

The pen vibrates gently on sensing wrong letter shapes or words not matching the language database.

  • It will help students to improve their handwriting.
  • To learn better spellings.
  • And a boon for children suffering from mental retardation and dyslexia.
