World Recognize India's new 'SHERO' HIMA in world U20 Athlete Championship
India has been ranked as the most dangerous country out of the world’s 10 worst countries for women, behind Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia, according to a poll of Global experts,We all know about that. Here 'Rape' is comitted every 54 minutes. Our national Capital also gets a new recognisition i.e 'Rape Capital of India'.But There is a ray of hope ...Many SHERO are upbringing.Yes they can shinning our nation. Our PM says 'her feat has new energy to Indians'
Yes We talk about India's Golden Girl HIMA DAS. Hima, daughter of a rice farmer from a village in Assam's Nagaon district, claimed the top spot in the women's 400m final race in Tampere, Finland. The 18-year-old, a pre-tournament favourite favourite, clocked 51.46s to win the gold. She thus became the first Indian track athlete to win a medal in the history of the competition.
On historic success, Hema is getting greetings from all over the country. Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Akshay Kumar and Farhan Akhtar have congratulated Indian athlete Hema Das on social media for this big victory.
After the victory, Hema Das said, "I want to thank all the Indians in the country and also those who were fond of my courage here. I am very happy to catch the flag of India on my shoulders. 100 meters is my strength. Now my target is Asian Games. But my dream is to win in the Olympics ."
But there is a another unwanted interesting story after this glorified event, the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships, was referred to as an athlete who was 'not so fluent in English but she gave her best' on the official Twitter account of AFI(Athelete Federation Of India).AFI’s tweet enraged her fans. What does English language expertise have to do with her achievement and talent in athletics, questioned netizens, slamming AFI for its insensitivity. The backlash compelled AFI to post an apology in Hindi. In its apology, AFI said that they merely wanted to show that despite being from a small village, Hima spoke freely with foreign media.
The victory is indeed a proud moment for Hima, and all the Indians. We wish Hima all success for the upcoming Olympics.
